FOR SALE ☞ WW1 era Lizars London Glasgow / Bausch Binoculars with original leather case

DESCRIPTION ☞ This turn of the century pair of binoculars are an exceptional piece. Through research, we have determined that this pair of optics are made by Bausch of Germany and imported by J. Lizars optics of London and Glasgow sometime around the turn of the century. They are a very unique, rare design. They are made from brass and wrapped with leather. On the left side of, its written J. Lizars London / Glasgow and on the right side, "Fulvue" prism binocular. Due to when these optics would have been in use, the likelihood that they participated in the first world war is high. However, there is nothing on the optics or case to prove this.

DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT ☞ Approx : W 5 inch L 7 inch

CONDITION ☞ This set of optics is in good condition. They have some patina due to age and use, but overall are in good shape. The optics do not have any clouding and still have a clear resolution. The leather is still firmly intact and is not falling off. The original neck strap is in good shape considering its age, as well as the original leather case. The lid on the case is still firmly attached despite missing the clasp and the red satin on the inside is still in good condition. Please see photos. Color may differ slightly in real life from how it appears on your screen due to varying monitor settings.
