DESCRIPTION ☞ Offered here is a historically significant pair of original WWII-era military photographs, framed and labeled in white ink with:
“87 Battery 3 Canadian Medium Regiment R.C.A. Holland May 1945” and
“‘C’ Troop 87 Canadian Medium Battery R.C.A. Holland May 1945.”

These black-and-white photos show formal group portraits of the 87th Battery of the 3rd Canadian Medium Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery (R.C.A.), taken in Holland just days after the end of the war in Europe in May 1945. Each image features rows of uniformed Canadian soldiers standing proudly in front of several heavy artillery pieces, with wooded terrain in the background.

These are authentic, likely period-developed photos, not modern reprints. Each is set under glass in a black wood frame, and both backs are sealed with original brown paper backing and hanging wire. Judging by the age and wear, the photographs have remained in these frames for many decades.

A rare and poignant pair of photographs for any collector of Canadian military memorabilia, WWII artifacts, or historical photography.

DIMENSIONS ☞ Each frame measures approximately 7.75" wide x 6" high.

CONDITION ☞ Very good vintage condition. The photographs themselves are clear with excellent contrast and no visible tears or stains. The frames show minor surface wear appropriate to age, and the original paper backings are intact but brittle with some tears and edge losses. Hanging wires are secure and ready for display.
